Social Media Examples

From September 2020 to October 2022, I was a Freelance Copywriter and Content Manager for October Social Media. In this role, I created monthly social media calendars for clients such as Katie Belew Realty of Harry Norman Realtors, Smith Douglas Homes, Jackson+ Coker, Russel Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as for October Social Media’s content. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I have created the entire content calendar (copy and graphics) as well as worked closely with a creative team to develop graphics to coincide with my copy. On top of social media calendars, I also create October Social Media’s monthly newsletters.

During my time at Mastermind Marketing, I was the creator and Account Manager for South University’s monthly content calendars. By utilizing user-generated content as well as alumni, student, and faculty success stories, I worked closely with the agency’s creative team to develop meaningful content for the universities’ students, alumni, and prospective students to connect and engage with. These posts would perform the best on Facebook and LinkedIn. For social sites such as Twitter, tips and tricks and statistics would perform the best, providing users with useful and informative content.

During the holiday season, I created content for a campaign for both South University and Argosy University called “A Week of Giving.” Users were encouraged to write thank you messages to enter to win prizes. These 7 days of share-worthy, meaningful thank you messages sparked heartfelt thank you stories from users, generating 10x more engagement per post than observed on average per month throughout FY ‘19.

During this time, I was also the team lead for Bayer Bee Health and their Feed a Bee initiative. Through this, I handled direct communication with the clients, worked with the creative team on accompanying media, and wrote monthly content calendars and ad hoc posts for Bayer’s U.S. Twitter and Instagram.

 

On top of being the Bayer Bee Health team lead and managing South University’s social media, I was the copywriter for Bayer Animal Health, including their monthly calendars and general communications.

On top of client work, I was also responsible for Mastermind Marketing’s social media content calendars. This included a mix of industry news, blog articles that our company has written or been featured on, and “agency life” posts to humanize the brand, such as office pets or events that employees attend within the Atlanta marketing community.

From October 2018 to January 2019, I managed all social media for The Art Institutes, South University, and Argosy University at the national level. This included creating all content on a month-to-month basis, handling and responding to all community engagement, and collaborating with the creative team on all accompanying media.

Prior to Mastermind Marketing, I was a Social Media Manager at LYFE Marketing. Here, I wore many hats: sole content creator, client communicator, graphic designer, and metrics reporter for up to 30 clients at a time.
